We are a family business situated in the hills near Perth, Western Australia.
Louise Thorpe has been an artist and designer for 36 years and has owned horses for over 25 years.
After many bottles of sun screen lotion and a few accidental episodes of over exposure to the sun, she started wearing long sleeved shirts to ride in summer. However these were hot and not very comfortable and the idea for ‘Hot to Trot’ was born.
The other partner in the business is Tim Thorpe who has patiently carted hay and bags of feed, endlessly mended fences, fixed horse floats and learnt to ride in his mid-thirties after never having sat on a horse before!
